The Story
Lanka Home Care was born out of necessity.
A doctor with years of experience in Australia and Sri Lanka needed a solution to look after his own loved ones back home. He found many good organisations—but none of them understood what it meant to manage the care of an elderly parent from the other side of the world.
He was not alone. Conversations with friends across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the United States, and Canada confirmed it. The frustration was universal—the logistics, the monitoring, the updates, the medical records—all of it fell to the family. And the family was thousands of miles away.
So he built what he needed. Drawing on decades of clinical experience and his own history of running a fully-fledged medical institution in Sri Lanka, he established a service and a set of clinical guidelines that he personally required—and opened it to the Sri Lankan diaspora.
Lanka Home Care exists to provide the high-quality, home-based care that seniors need—while serving the equally important needs of the families who love them from afar.
